Article: Worldwide Flight Services Awarded Avianca Airlines Newark Airport Contract.

NEWARK, N.J., May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Worldwide Flight Services, formerly known as AMR Services, has been selected by Avianca Airlines, the national airline of Colombia, to perform ramp, passenger and skycap services for four Boeing 757 flights weekly at the Newark, New Jersey airport beginning April 16, 1999. In 1998 more than 32 million passengers flew out of Newark Airport, surpassing New York's John F. Kennedy Airport in the number of passengers served.

The two-year contract will create 30 new jobs for Worldwide Flight Services in Newark. Worldwide already serves Avianca Airlines at the Los Angeles Airport, providing interline baggage handling services.
