Pepperdine Study Outlines Area's Unrecognized Assets:
Strong Industrial Base, Stable Labor Force, Solid Housing Market
A collaborative to tie the economy of South Los Angeles to that of the larger Southland region was announced Friday at a conference of top business leaders, economists and local officials.
The primary goal of the regional collaborative, led by South L.A.-based WATTSHealth Systems Inc. (WHS), will be to change the perception of the area to one that reflects the assets outlined in an authoritative, just-released study by Pepperdine University.
