May 5 -- An Ohio bank company announced plans Tuesday to buy two Cabell County bank branches from Huntington National Bank, also based in Ohio.
Ohio Valley Bank of Gallipolis said it has signed an agreement to buy the Milton branch of Huntington Banks at 280 E. Main St. and the Pea Ridge branch in the Kroger supermarket at 5636 U.S. 60 E. in Barboursville.
The branches had combined deposits of $27 million at the end of last year.
If regulators approve the deal, the two branches would give Ohio Valley Bank a total of four West Virginia branches by the third quarter of this year. The bank already has ...
