NEW YORK -- No names please. That's the unspoken rule when you talk with Irwin Peters of Andre Romanelli Inc., the importer who handles more suits with the best labels than anybody else in the business. That is, unless you're a retailer who can't buy that top designer or Italian name through regular channels -- or the store or manufacturer who has to dump a ton of top labels fast.
"I sell all of the major off-pricers, plus Men's Wearhouse," says the good-natured clothing veteran who got his first taste of dealing offshore in the '70s when he ran a few factories in Korea for Eisenberg International.
