The Amtrak Degas Express travel package celebrates the 300th anniversary of French influence in Louisiana and NOMA's unprecedented exhibition "Degas and New Orleans: A French Impressionist in America."
The NOMA "Degas and New Orleans" exhibition will present nearly 40 works by the artist through August 29, 1999. Degas is the only French Impressionist painter to have visited and painted in the United States.
