HONOLULU, May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Cheap Tickets, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTIX), a leading discount airline ticket seller, today reported a record number of tickets sold on May 4, 1999. On that day, the company sold 7,500 tickets in a single 24-hour period -- or one ticket every 12 seconds.
The 7,500-ticket day follows Cheap Tickets' April 27, 1999, announcement of its highest quarterly earnings in the company's 13-year history.
