The rising number of working mothers in Latin America and the consequent shortage of time in preparing food the traditional way have paved the way for the growing acceptance of food and beverage products that require little time to prepare. Some of the food categories which were not readily acceptable before to Latin Americans include frozen vegetables, instant vegetables, pre-cut meats and pre-sliced bread. The savings in time in terms of daily trips to the market are some of the factors that make prepared foods popular among working mothers.
