MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, Minn., May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Metro Transit this morning demonstrated that it is the superhero of rush hour, beating the Caped Crusader's car in a rush-hour race from Maplewood to downtown Minneapolis by 17 minutes. The bus raced the car to illustrate that riding the bus is faster than driving through congested traffic.

Team Transit Challenge V: The duel for dominance began in Maplewood. The bus sped to victory using a special bus-only gate arm to reach Highway 36 while the Caped Crusader spent 14 minutes at the ramp meter light. The bus then shot past congestion using seven miles of bus-only shoulders.
