May 15 -- Suppliers to Boeing Co. said Friday that it's too soon to say exactly how they will be affected by the aerospace giant's plan to ax up to 7,000 jobs here over the next two years.
While Boeing said Thursday that up to 8,000 jobs at suppliers could be affected, a check with some of those showed no immediate plans to scale down their work forces. Others said they had taken such action weeks or months ago because business with Boeing already had been doing downhill.
Scores of companies here sell to Boeing, providing everything from parts for fighter planes to submarine sandwiches for the production ...
