A recent retrospective study has substantiated that a generic form of clozapine, developed by the Zenith Goldline Pharmaceuticals subsidiary of IVAX Corporation (AMEX:IVX), and Novartis' branded Clozaril(R) can be used interchangeably for the treatment of severe schizophrenia. The results of the extensive study were presented this week at the annual meeting of the American Psychiatric Association in Washington, D.C. by Dr. Vinod Kumar, Professor of Psychiatry and Neurology and Director of the Florida Institute of Neurology in Venice, Florida.
