AUTOMATED & CUSTOM FOOD SERVICE, L.P., HAS acquired the assets of Shreveport, La.-based Pickett Food Service from Pickett Industries for an undisclosed sum, making the Dallas-based company the largest vending, catering, foodservice and OCS operation in the Southwest. Automated & Custom Foods has also announced plans to buy back the full-line vending companies it sold to Coca Cola Enterprises Inc. in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma, according to Steve Errico, president. Automated & Custom Foods is owned by the father/son team of Edmund M. and Robert K. Hoffman in Dallas.
