May 23 -- If seven of 10 automobile club members need roadside assistance in a given year, does that mean there's a 70 percent chance someone outside the club will experience car problems too?
Don G. Wardell does not think so.
Chances are, he would know.
A management professor at the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business, Wardell teaches the class that makes many students shudder --statistics.
He says consumers need to understand how to make sense of the facts and figures that inundate their lives.
