Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was sent back to jail to serve a one-year jail sentence for assaulting two motorists after a traffic accident.

After a three-hour hearing in Rockville, MD, Judge Stephen Johnson, who said Tyson "repeatedly speaks and acts compulsively and violently," sentenced the embattled boxer to two concurrent two-year sentences, but he suspended one year. The judge also fined Tyson $5,000 and sentenced him to two years probation after his release from jail.

The judge apparently was not moved by a letter from Tyson, read aloud in court, that said, "Jail would mean I lose everything."

He was led away from the courtroom ...
