Asking for prayers from his fans, foot ball great Walter Payton recently revealed that he is battling a rare disease and needs a liver transplant to live.
Payton's announcement at a press conference in Rosemont, IL, near Chicago, stunned and saddened many as the nation looked on with disbelief as he discussed the illness.
The nation seemed to cry right along with Payton when he broke down in tears at the end of the press conference.
Asked by a reporter if he had a message for his fans, Payton said, "To the people that really care abut me," he started, then stopped as he broke down in tears.
