SEATTLE, May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- PathoGenesis Corp. (Nasdaq: PGNS) has made an equity investment in PulmoPharm, its German distribution partner. The investment provides PathoGenesis with approximately a 20 percent ownership interest in PulmoPharm. Other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
PulmoPharm GmbH was founded in 1997 as an independent, privately owned pharmaceutical company, and began selling its first products in 1998. The company intends to license and develop products for treating respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, cystic fibrosis and infectious diseases.
