PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The ECONOMIC CORPORATION FUND of Japan recently granted tens of millions of dollars to the local BANGLADESH CHEMICALS INDUSTRIES. As a result, the company is now said to be planning the modernisation of its Ghorasal urea plant. Modernisation plans will reportedly involve:
- An effort to reduce energy consumption; - The replacement of a gas turbine generator at its power station; - The introduction of environmental improvements.
The cost of the proposed upgrade project has been pegged at $53,000,000.
