Ipiranga fuels distribution and petrochemicals group announced plans to restructure its fuel companies merging CBPI (Companhia Brasileira d Petroleo Ipiranga) and the DPPI (Distribuidora de Produtos de Petroleo Ipiranga), this latter concentrated in Southern Brazil. Restructuring is part of Ipiranga strategy to face the increasing competitiveness in the market that is being deregulated, such as YPF, that was acquired by Repsol in Argentina, and is willing to move in force to conquer Brazil.
