Crude Oil Production. World crude oil production during February 1999 was 67 million barrels per day, up 0.3 million barrels per day from the level in the previous month.
Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) production during February 1999 averaged 29 million barrels per day, up 0.5 million barrels per day from the level during the previous month. During February 1999, production increased in Iran by 260 thousand barrels per day, Iraq by 140 thousand barrels per day, Saudi Arabia by 100 thousand barrels per day, the United Arab Emirates by 90 thousand barrels per day, and in both Kuwait and Algeria by 10 thousand barrels per day.
