Article: Do We Love Mom More Than Dad? Dad Just Happy You Remembered This Father's Day, According to NRF.

WASHINGTON, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Do we really care more for Mom than Dad? The National Retail Federation doesn't seem to think so. According to industry-wide statistics, Dads can expect to receive the usual ties, tools and novelty gadgets this year. On average we tend to spend $90 on gifts for Father's Day (Compared to $105 for Mother's Day).

"Just because we are spending more on Mom doesn't mean we care any less about Dad," said NRF President Tracy Mullin. "Dad's are easier to please. Where a card and a phone call might be enough for Dad, Moms need a more visible sign of affection."
