Visitors to the Le Bourget Airshow have witnessed a unique flying demonstration of a new air traffic control communications system designed to revolutionise air travel.

The first flight on Saturday, 12 June followed work undertaken by the two European air traffic management projects, EOLIA (European pre-Operational DataLink Applications) and ProATN (Prototype Aeronautical Telecommunications Network).
