Without the right wheels, your engines are dead weight
Wheels, props, screws, cleavers. Whatever else they may be called, they are propellers. In a very literal sense, they are called propellers because they propel the boat. It is a simple, but vitally important concept. Propellers, and only propellers, provide the thrust that pushes a boat through the water. Those big, shiny engines can't do a thing without propellers. Much more power is wasted though poorly selected or maintained propellers than through any other snafu in marine design, construction or operation.
