(WHITPAIN TOWNSHIP) Fire officials say a deadly 3-alarm fire in West Ambler that claimed the life of a 5-year-old boy may have been caused by his playing with matches. Little Daniel Gaskins died of smoke inhalation, despite his father's heroic attempts to save him and his siblings. The father, Nathan Gaskins, is in critical condition at the Crozer Chester Medical Center Burn Unit. Daniel's 7-year-old brother, Nathan, also suffered burns and is in stable condition at Saint Christopher's Hospital for Children. Four firefighters were also injured battling the blaze. The fire swept through 14 row homes, leaving 12 families homeless. Officials say matches were found ...
