Choosing a textbook for any college course can be a daunting process. Seeking recommendations from colleagues, contacting book publishers and reviewing a seemingly endless number of choices can wear down the best of us. The variety of approaches and focuses textbooks utilize, all covering the same basic material but at times from radically different perspectives, can be a mixed blessing.
