Jun. 23 -- When a Canadian company needed a large number of hard-working technically trained employees immediately, it hired an entire class of students from Goodland, Kan.
Nortel Networks Corp. offered a lucrative three-month internship to the class at Northwest Kansas Technical School.
The 39 students, who are still eight months shy of completing their degrees, are spending three months in Los Angeles installing wireless-communication equipment.
