MEXICO: $150,000,000 INVESTMENT AIMED AT UPGRADING PORT INFRASTRUCTURE, SECRETARIAT OF STATE FOR TRANSPORT AND COMMUNICATIONS & INTEGRATED PORT ADMINISTRATORS (APIs) [MEXICO] - Order #: 075199.

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The Mexican SECRETARIAT OF STATE FOR TRANSPORT AND COMMUNICATIONS is currently said to be planning to invest over $150,000,000 in order to upgrade the country's antiquated ports. Of this amount, some $100,000,000 is expected to be channelled into state-run Integrated Port Administrators (APIs) which are based in Mexico's 15 most active ports. These expenditures will be for: - Infrastructure upkeep; - General construction works; - The acquisition of new equipment.

In addition Mexico's busiest port, Veracruz, will receive about $35,000,000 while Manzanillo and Coatzacoalcos will get $17,000,000 and $13,000,000 respectively.
