Thomas M. Norton of Falmouth, the oldest retired Massachusetts State Police officer, died Monday at the Center for Optimum Care in Falmouth. He was 96.
Born in Boston, he graduated from Boston Mechanical High School. He had lived in Milton for many years and in Miami, Fla. He had lived the past six years in Falmouth.
Mr. Norton joined the Massachusetts State Police after high school.
During his early years, his specialties were motorcycles and trick riding with horses. He performed with the State Police Riders at all the county ...
