JENNA LANE'S SALES JUMP:

Profits at Jenna Lane Inc. jumped 56.3 percent in the fourth quarter ended March 31 as sales catapulted 71 percent.

"Our core Jenna Lane domestic business is at an all-time high and our core import business continues its strong growth pattern," said Charles Sobel, vice chairman and co-chief executive officer of the popular-priced women's apparel producer. "Our order backlog as of June 1, 1999 is $19.6 million versus $16.1 million last year."
