DUBLIN, Ireland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 29, 1999--
Esat Telecom Group plc ('the Group') (NASDAQ and EASDAQ: ESAT) today made its debut on the Irish Stock Exchange (ESAT.I) becoming the first Irish telecommunications company to secure a primary listing.
Shares in Esat Telecom opened at a price of Euro 21.50 (IR(pound)16.93) per ordinary share which capitalizes the Group at Euro 847.3 million (IR(pound)667 million). Additional shares were not issued as part of the listing, which is sponsored by Davy Stockbrokers.
