SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Banco Santander Puerto Rico (NYSE: SBP) and American Express (NYSE: AXP) today announced the forging of a new strategic alliance whereby Banco Santander Puerto Rico will issue American Express Card products in Puerto Rico. Under the agreement Banco Santander Puerto Rico is the first bank in Puerto Rico to announce that it will introduce into the market a Non-Proprietary American Express Card designed for small and medium-sized businesses.
