WICHITA, Kan. -- Raytheon Aircraft Company's best-selling turboprop business aircraft now has a lower per-day operating cost. By making internal airflow changes to improve cooling, Pratt & Whitney Canada escalated the new Beech King Air B200's Time Between Overhaul (TBO) from 3,000 to 3,600 hours for the PT6A-42 engine.
Along with raising the TBO, Pratt & Whitney Canada is increasing the engine's Hot Section Inspection from 1,500 hours to 1,800 hours. Now the Hot Section Inspection will coincide ...
