Oil and gas initiatives are central to business development plans in the Northern Territory. Despite sluggish Asian gas markets, the prospects look bright for Australian projects.
Falling demand for natural gas in Asia has forced the Northern Territory to look for markets closer to home, with a new report identifying major opportunities in the Territory and Queensland.
The "Gas to the Northern Territory and Queensland" report is the work of the Timor Sea Consultative Group -- convened by the Office of Resource Development -- and Mr Max Kimber, former general manager of the Australian Pipeline Authority.
