The threat of poor water damaging food production has convinced some Asian nations to seek help from South Australia, despite cash-flow problems associated with Asia's financial crisis.

Mr John Caporn, executive general manager of Water Industry and Business Development for SA Water, said some Asian nations were pressing ahead with expensive water treatment solutions.
