Satellite TV viewers, especially in rural areas, will lose if the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and DirecTv Inc. [GMH] are successful in winning congressional approval for a compromise they negotiated on their own, according to the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC).
The NAB-DirecTv deal would allow the loss of network signals by millions of satellite TV viewers to be codified into law, NRTC officials said last week.
