CHICAGO, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Mark Thomas is enraged. The owner of The Alternative Shopping Complex (The Alley, Architectural Revolution, Taboo Tabou, Blue Havana Smoke Gallery and The Silver District) in Central Lake View has used the space usually used for advertising his retail stores (the back page of the first section of The Reader: July 8, 1999) to address the citizens of Chicago with a letter praising Chicago Police Officers instead of condemning them, and urging that contributions be made to the Chicago Police Gold Star Family Fund.
