MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Responding to increasing consumer demand and decreasing technology costs, NuvoMedia today announced that it has lowered the suggested retail price of the Rocket eBook(TM) from $499 to $349. Sales, which have been consistent since the product's launch in October 1998, recently increased by 50% when NuvoMedia's retailers lowered the street price of the Rocket eBook by up to 200 dollars off of the suggested retail price. As a result, NuvoMedia is predicting that electronic books will become a true consumer category sooner than originally anticipated.
