In 1992, 1 reviewed the first edition of Sharf's Applying career development theory to counseling and praised the text for its overview of career development theory, research and application. After my review of the second edition, I find that my opinion has not changed. Sharf has retained much of the content of the first edition, added issues that have emerged since the first edition, and updated the research.
The text is yet an excellent one for students enrolled in an introductory career counselling course. As the title implies, the book emphasizes ...
