HARRISBURG, Pa., July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- HealthAmerica Pennsylvania, Inc. announced today that it would eliminate Columbia, Luzerne and Lycoming counties from the Central Pennsylvania Advantra service area, effective January 1, 2000. Advantra is the Medicare+Choice HMO plan offered by HealthAmerica that provides benefits to Medicare-eligible individuals.
The elimination of these counties affects approximately 875 current Advantra members in Central Pennsylvania. These individuals have the option to enroll in another Medicare managed care organization in these three counties where available, but in any event can always return to traditional, fee-for-service ...
