Jul. 19 -- PASCUA YAQUI, Ariz. -- Traditional Yaqui deer dancers and a modern drum tribute to Disneyland, celebrated the grand opening of the Pascua Yaqui Clubhouse, among 100 Boys and Girls Clubs being funded by Congress on American Indian land.
While Yaqui teen-agers Natalie Flores and Andres Gonzales were anxious to shoot hoops, Gilbert Valenzuela said nothing rivals the new computer room and promise of going online.
"I'm looking forward to making new friends," said Estrella Remigio, who joined Yaqui youths for the grand opening on a Saturday morning in southern Arizona's searing summer heat.
