AUGUSTA, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 21, 1999--
CMP Group, Inc., (NYSE:CTP) has reported earnings of 12 cents per share of common stock for the quarter ending June 30, up from two cents a year ago.
Earnings for the first six months of 1999 were $1.15 per common share, compared to 52 cents for the same period a year ago.
CMP Group's second-quarter revenues of $225.2 million were 7 percent higher than a year ago. Six-month revenues were $501.8 million, up 9 percent.
Net income was $4 million for the quarter and $37.3 million for the first half, compared to corresponding figures of $0.6 million and $17 million in 1998.
