NEW YORK -- Needless to say, Linda J. Wachner has big plans for her new Weight Watchers license.
"This is a monstrous program," said Wachner, president, chairman and chief executive officer of the Warnaco Group. "It's got everything going for it, and I certainly would love Fergie to do the ads. That would make my day.
"But," she added, "I'm not yet commenting on my plans."
Wachner was referring to the most recent addition to Warnaco's battalion of intimate apparel brands -- the licensed Weight Watchers name in shapewear -- and her desire to have Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, as its spokesperson.
