Jul. 28 -- Roche Colorado has drafted its Y2K preparedness plan and checked it twice, but the pharmaceutical maker plans to take extra safety measures by completely shutting down its production operations for the first day of the new year.
"Normally, we would be working through the holiday season," Roche Colorado spokesman John Tayer said Tuesday. "But in this instance, for extra precautionary measures, we've decided that it's better to shut down our operations.
