Jul. 28 -- JACKSON, Wyo. -- Officials from Teton County, Wyo., are asking for more time so their constituents can weigh in on air emissions from a proposed incinerator at the INEEL.
Doctors, real estate agents and health-food workers were among the dozens of people who packed a commissioners' meeting in Jackson on Monday where INEEL officials gave presentations on the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project.
The residents said the visit came too late, since the comment period on a draft permit regulating air emissions from the incinerator closed at the end of June.
