Ballet Austin has appointed Stephen Mills as associate artistic director for the 1999-2000 season. Mills, the company's resident choreographer, will replace outgoing artistic director Lambros Lambrou, who stepped down after leading the mid-sized Texas company for ten consecutive and successful seasons. Mills's appointment is an interim position while the company conducts an international search for a new artistic director.
