NEW YORK -- Jimmy Khezrie, owner of the New York-based urban specialty chain Jimmy Jazz, is a 50 percent investor in Coda Acquisition Group Inc., which, as reported, has agreed to purchase the 283-unit Coda and JW/Jeans West chain from the bankrupt Edison Bros. Stores for $10.3 million. Final bankruptcy court approval came through on Friday, according to Khezrie.
"I bought control of 50 percent of the company," said Khezrie, who is also serving as CEO of Coda Acquisition Group. The other investor is investment banker Stuart Feldman, owner of Chelsea Capitol, Khezrie said.
