HUNTSVILLE, Ala. and TORONTO, July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Wolverine Tube, Inc. (NYSE: WLV) and Ratcliffs Severn Ltd. today announced a strategic alliance that will merge the assets of Wolverine Tube's Fergus, Ontario copper and copper alloy production facility with assets of Ratcliffs' Toronto-based light gauge copper and brass strip manufacturing operations. The new venture will be named Wolverine Ratcliffs, Inc. ("WRI"). The transaction combines two of North America's leading specialty manufacturers of copper and copper alloy strip, enabling WRI to offer a broader range of products to customers worldwide.
