Aug. 1 -- Whoever said there is no gain without pain never heard of PowderJect Pharmaceuticals, the biotechnology firm that is developing a needle-free injection system.
Though its first product is still having trials, the company has won the Competitive Advantage category in Financial Mail's Enterprise 2000 awards -- sponsored by Lloyds TSB and Microsoft.
PowderJect works with major drug companies such as Glaxo Wellcome, converting their proprietary brands into dry powder so that they can be administered using the needle-free system.
