PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local ALUMINIUM BAHRAIN (ALBA) is currently involved in the construction of a $400,000,000 coke calcinating project as well as a $24,000,000 water desalination plant. ALBA has a current installed production capacity of 500,000 tons per year of aluminum. And, the company's board of directors recently approved a project feasibility study to look into the possibility of a future expansion as part of its long-term business development strategy. Expansion plans under consideration would reportedly involve adding another 250,000 t/y of output.
