Aug. 2 -- A trip out of San Francisco International Airport begins with ground transportation -- and often involves a parking fee.

To park in the airport's long-term lot -- about two miles north of the terminals -- the cost is $84 a week.

Some travelers use a hotelier's park 'n' fly service. One inn near the airport, for example, offers a $159 package that includes one night's lodging, a week's parking, shuttle to and from the airport and continental breakfast.
