The first results from the 1997 arts assessment by the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) are reported in the NAEP 1997 Arts Report Card, which was released on 10 November 1998 at a press conference in Washington. A brief summary, Highlights of the NAEP 1997 Arts Assessment Report Card, was also released. Both documents are available on the National Center for Education Statistics Web site (www.ed.gov/nces/naep).(1)
