The city of Auburn Hills recently completed a $10 million master plan that includes creating 500-600 single-family homes and condominiums, multiple small service-oriented businesses and extensive streetscape improvements within the next seven years.
Community master plans come and go. Some sit and collect dust because the city didn't put forth much effort. Other plans are shelved because they are too lofty to achieve.
But developers think Auburn Hills' position in the I-75 corridor and the city's notable industrial business district prove that its master plan can come to fruition.
